Biography

Delphine Nakache is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Law, French Common Law Section, at the University of Ottawa. She is a lawyer and member of the Law Society of Ontario. Professor Nakache holds the University Research Chair on Migrant Protection and International Law. Her teaching and research focus on international public law, constitutional law, and immigration, refugee, and citizenship law. She has engaged in research on vulnerable migrants and their legal statuses, particularly in the context of Canada. She leads the Precarious Migration Project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, which examines the legal statuses of temporary migrants in Canada. Professor Nakache collaborates internationally and contributes to various projects including the VULNER project, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the European Union. She actively consults for governmental and intergovernmental organizations on issues related to migrant law and policy.
