Biography

Denis Giguère is a full professor in the Department of Chemistry at Laval University. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2007. His academic journey includes obtaining a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2004 and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field in 2002, all from the same institution. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Iyengar Lab & Systems Biology Center at Mount Sinai School of Medicine from 2007 to 2011. Giguère has been recognized with the Étoile de l'enseignement award from the Faculty of Science and Engineering in 2017 and 2019. His research interests encompass various areas of organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and glycochemistry, with contributions to both therapeutic and biomolecular chemistry. Giguère is actively involved in research recruitment for graduate studies.
