Denis Gougeon is a distinguished composer whose talent transcends borders, with over 120 works to his credit. Despite his international recognition, Gougeon remains committed to promoting contemporary creation in Quebec, where he has taught music composition for 37 years at the Université de Montréal. Highly regarded by his students, he has nurtured the youth and has contributed to the development of a hundred composers at the graduate level.
