Biography

Denis Meledin is a Senior Research Engineer at the Onsala Space Observatory, focusing on space and Earth environment research. He was born in Arkhangelsk, Russia, in 1974 and received his Ph.D. degree in Radiophysics from Moscow State Pedagogical University in 2003. Prior to his doctoral studies, Denis worked as a pre-doctoral fellow at the Submillimeter Receiver Lab at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory from 2000 to 2003. He has been a member of the Advanced Receiver Development Group at Chalmers University of Technology since 2003. His main research activities are in the field of radioastronomy instrumentation, and his current research interests include superconducting low noise heterodyne receivers, terahertz applications, and the design of microwave and submillimeter wave components.
