Biography

Denis Claude Roy is a professor of medicine at the Université de Montréal and is the scientific director of CellCAN, the Canadian network for regenerative medicine and cellular therapy, facilitating knowledge mobilization. He is also the scientific director of the Centre of Excellence in Cell Therapy at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont in Montreal, which has developed a viral vector production unit under good manufacturing practices. His training in tumor immunology was completed at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, USA. His translational and clinical research focuses on cellular manipulation to improve the clinical impact of stem cell transplants, cancer immunotherapy, and regenerative medicine. He is involved in the Canadian Transplant Research and scientific collaboration programs, focusing on immune tolerance and immunotherapy against cancer.
