Dr. Denise Kelley

Biography

Denise Kelley graduated from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy and completed a Post-Graduate Year One residency at UF Health Jacksonville, followed by a Post-Graduate Year Two residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. From 2014 to 2018, she worked as an Internal Medicine Pharmacy Specialist at UF Health Jacksonville and transitioned to Ascension Seton Market as an Internal Medicine Pharmacy Specialist from 2018 to 2023. She has served as affiliate faculty at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, precepting pharmacy students on the Adult Medicine rotation. Currently, she holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and maintains an active practice at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in Internal Medicine, where she precepts Pharm.D. students and residents during academic internal medicine rotations. As the Residency Program Director for the Ascension Seton PGY-2 Internal Medicine pharmacy residency, she is passionate about patient care and advancing the pharmacy profession by facilitating connections between pharmacy students and real-world clinical practice. Her contributions to education have been recognized with awards such as the UF New Inpatient Preceptor of the Year and the FSHP New Practitioner of the Year, and she has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Her clinical research interests primarily focus on Internal Medicine, anticoagulation, HIV, and renal and pulmonary disorders.
