Biography

Denise Woodard is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas A&M University. She teaches a variety of activity courses including KINE 199 and KINE 120, focusing on basic health fitness and introductory science of health fitness. Woodard has been involved in numerous academic programs such as Hullabaloo U, where she served on the curriculum writing committee. Additionally, she has contributed to various university committees including the Women’s Faculty Network and the Honor Council. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, she is an advisor for the Aggie Girl Scouts and the Texas A&M Running Club. Her commitment extends to both the university and the surrounding community, particularly in promoting wellness education. Woodard earned her Master of Science in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Central Missouri in 2000, following her Bachelor of Science in Fitness/Wellness from the same institution in 1998, and an Associate of Arts from Metropolitan Community Colleges in 1996.
