Biography

Deniz Ucbasaran joined Warwick Business School as a Professor of Entrepreneurship in November 2010. He is a member of the Enterprise Research Centre, established in 2013, which aims to act as an authority on entrepreneurship and guide policymakers. Prior to Warwick, he was a faculty member at Nottingham University Business School and held visiting positions at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and the University of Oslo. Ucbasaran's research primarily explores entrepreneurial activities, including the identification and exploitation of opportunities for new value creation at the individual, team, and firm levels. He has co-authored numerous books and has published widely in various academic and practitioner journals, including Harvard Business Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, and Journal of Management Studies. Ucbasaran also sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Journal of Management Studies, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
