Biography

Dennis Carey is the Vice Chairman at Korn Ferry International and co-leader of the Board Services Practice, bringing 25 years of experience in advising on board of directors placements, CEOs, and their direct reports. He has successfully helped recruit boards for 75 Fortune 500 companies. In addition to his recruitment work, Dennis founded forums for C-suite executives, including Prium, G100, and the CEO Academy®, which includes academies for CFOs and CHROs in America’s managed enterprises. He has published seven books, one of which, 'Boards Lead', was cited as Book of the Year by Directors & Boards Magazine in 2014. His writings have appeared in notable journals like Harvard Business Review and McKinsey Quarterly, and he has been quoted in major business publications such as The Economist and The Wall Street Journal. Dennis has served on boards for both public and private start-up technology companies, and holds a PhD in finance from the University of Maryland. His academic contributions include teaching executive education programs such as 'Boards Lead: Corporate Governance Builds Value' and developing the CEO Academy® in partnership with Wharton Executive Education.
