Biography

Dr. Dennis Jensen is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Clinical Exercise & Respiratory Physiology at McGill University, where he leads the Clinical Exercise & Respiratory Physiology Lab (CERPL). His research primarily focuses on the mechanisms, measurement, and management of clinical and exercise physiology, especially in the context of respiratory diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and restrictive pulmonary disorders. He holds a B.Sc. in Physical & Health Education from Brock University, a M.Sc. in Exercise Physiology from Queen's University, and a Ph.D. in Exercise & Respiratory Physiology from the same institution. Dr. Jensen's expertise is further enriched by his post-doctoral research fellowship in Clinical Exercise Respiratory Pathophysiology at Kingston General Hospital in affiliation with Queen's University. He is affiliated with several research units and has a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in exercise science, particularly regarding exercise intolerance in adults. Dr. Jensen actively supervises graduate students and is dedicated to fostering the next generation of researchers in the field.
