Dr. Dennis Lam

Biography

Dennis graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Aviation Management and a Master of Commerce. He has spent 22 years in the aviation industry, primarily focusing on airline operations control centers, collaborating with multiple department representatives to resolve flight schedule issues around-the-clock. He worked for an Australian domestic airline, a hub carrier based in Asia, at the Integrated Operations Centre for more than seven years. Dennis possesses vast knowledge and experience in managing airline operations, having dealt with significant disruptions including the shutdown of European airspace due to the Icelandic Volcano Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 and the various phases of the Covid-19 pandemic. He believes that the timing and experience of personnel are vital for success in reducing flight disruptions within the control centre. Based in Taiwan, Dennis is currently running a consulting company specializing in airline operations.
