Biography

Derek de Beurs is an Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam's Department of Clinical Psychology. With over 15 years of expertise in studying suicidal behavior, he began his PhD focusing on training professionals in suicide prevention. His research is centered on the complexities of suicidal behavior and employs network analysis to explore these intricacies. Additionally, he coordinates courses at the University and is an ambassador for the minor in psychology, promoting the relevance of psychology in everyday life.
