Biography

Desmond is a post-doctoral bioinformatician in the Systems Cancer Immunology group at King's College London. He graduated with MSci and MA degrees in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2009, focusing on physical, theoretical, and biological chemistry. He completed his PhD in experimental and theoretical characterization of hemoproteins at the University of Cambridge in 2015. Before joining King's College London, he worked as a core service computational biologist at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences, LKS Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. His current research focuses on developing new analysis methods and pipelines for single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-Seq) and CyTOF flow cytometry data, particularly in large-scale immunology projects and multi-omics data integration.
