Biography

Professor Desmond Yip is a senior staff specialist in Medical Oncology at Canberra Hospital and a professor at the ANU Medical School. Desmond Yip has published over 160 journal articles and book chapters and has collaborated with the John James Foundation and Australian Government programs to enhance cancer services in the South Pacific Islands. Currently, he is coordinating efforts with multiple stakeholders to establish cancer care at the Port Moresby General Hospital in Papua New Guinea. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Medicine and a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
