Dr. Deva Chan

Biography

Deva Chan is an Associate Professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University and serves as the Director of Graduate Programs. He has a diverse academic background, with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University, an MS from the University of California at Davis, and a BS from the University of California at Berkeley. His research interests encompass multi-scale orthopedic biomechanics, magnetic resonance imaging diagnosis, mechanobiology, and brain biomechanics, among others. He holds a courtesy appointment in Mechanical Engineering and directs the Purdue Small Animal Engineering MRI Facilities, which enhances research capabilities in the area of biomedical engineering.
