Biography

Devin Griffiths is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Southern California, specializing in Comparative Literature. His research interests include the interplay of literature, science, and the environment, with his works published in prestigious academic journals such as Critical Inquiry and Victorian Studies. His book, 'Age of Analogy: Science and Literature in the Darwins,' published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2016, explores how historical novels have been shaped by life sciences, proposing a new comparative method for understanding the relational history between these fields. Griffiths holds a Ph.D. in Literatures in English from Rutgers University and has been a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. He has presented at numerous conferences, advancing the discourse on topics such as ecology and literature, while also serving in various leadership roles in academic committees.
