Biography

Dewy completed a degree in Psychology at Radboud University in the Netherlands. During this time, she completed internships with EU-AIMS projects, a multicentre collaboration aimed at identifying markers of autism using a mix of behavioral, biological, and neuroscientific data. This experience sparked her interest in the complexity and diversity of mechanisms underlying autism. In particular, she has a strong interest in understanding individual differences and the heterogeneity of autism spectrum disorders, along with associations across behavioral, neurological, and physical domains. Dewy continued her academic journey by completing a degree in Brain Sciences at the University of Glasgow, focusing on understanding inter- and intra-individual differences in autism spectrum. Broadened by her experience, she has worked in the field of Public Health, particularly focusing on health inequalities among vulnerable groups and the use of digital technologies in healthcare. Dewy continues to pursue her research interests with the Scottish Learning Disabilities Observatory, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of health determinants, needs, and inequalities experienced by individuals with autism.
