Biography

Deyi Xue is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Precision Machinery Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1992 and 1989, respectively, and earned a B.Sc. degree from Tianjin University in 1985. Deyi Xue worked at the University of Calgary as an Assistant Professor from 1995 to 2000, then as an Associate Professor from 2000 to 2007, before achieving the rank of Full Professor in 2007. His research primarily focuses on computer-based design and manufacturing, supported by granting agencies such as the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). He has published over 200 research papers, including 100 in refereed journals, and has been recognized as one of the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists by Stanford-Elsevier for several years. He serves on the editorial boards of international journals and is active in program and organizing committees for numerous international conferences.
