Biography

Dhananjay Anand is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He focuses on metrology, control systems, dynamics, and electrical power grid integration. His research interests include system integration and diagnostic reasoning challenges associated with networks of interdependent information technology and physical components. Dhananjay serves as the lead research scientist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Smart Grid Cyber-Physical Systems Program. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and has also reviewed submissions for IEEE and ASME. Dhananjay is a recipient of the NIST Distinguished Associate Award in 2018. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, attained in 2004, followed by a Master's and Doctorate from the University of Michigan, completed in 2008 and 2013 respectively. His work has contributed to the design of manufacturing testbeds for information-driven reconfiguration.
