Biography

Di Tian is a New York-based new-media artist originally from Chongqing, China. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he works as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Visual Arts at Penn State University. His artistic practice involves a variety of mediums, including interactive installations, computer graphics, and digital design. Di's works have been featured in several international exhibitions and events, including a solo exhibition titled “Mosquitoes Dream” at the 798 Art District in Beijing (2008) and participation in charity events such as “For Children China” organized by the Amity Foundation in Shanghai (2011). His art often reflects on the complex interplay between individual identity and societal dynamics, especially in contemporary China, exploring themes of existential angst and social expectations amid modern challenges.
