Biography

Diana Bolotin is the Allan L. Lorincz Professor at the University of Chicago, leading the Department of Dermatology as Chief and Director of Dermatologic Surgery. Her extensive clinical practice focuses on a variety of cutaneous conditions, including Actinic Keratoses, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and advanced laser aesthetic procedures. Bolotin completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, and obtained her M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine. Her residency was also completed at the University of Chicago, where she served as chief resident before pursuing a fellowship at Northwestern University. Bolotin has made significant contributions through her research, authoring numerous peer-reviewed articles and chapters on dermatological surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She holds editorial positions with the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and is involved in several professional societies. Bolotin’s work is especially focused on addressing the barriers to funding in cosmetic laser dermatology research and enhancing training programs within the specialty.
