Biography

Diana Ginn is a Professor Emerita at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, with extensive expertise in various fields of law. Her teaching areas have included law and religion, property law, administrative law, alternative dispute resolution, public law, health law, and women's law. Over the years, she developed and taught courses at Hue University in Vietnam and the Atlantic School of Theology in Halifax. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Professor Ginn has served as a coach and examiner for the Negotiations Conflict Management Programme at Dalhousie, facilitating seminars on conflict resolution in diverse settings. She has held the Simon Visiting Fellowship at the University of Manchester’s School of Law and has contributed significantly to the field through her research focusing on religion law, administrative law, aboriginal title, property law, and health care issues. Professor Ginn has received several accolades for her teaching and contributions to law education, including the Hanna Harold Barnett Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Dalhousie Law Students' Society on multiple occasions.
