Diana Ingenhoff is a full professor in organizational communication and public diplomacy. She obtained her doctorate and habilitation at the Management School of the University of St. Gallen. She is a Research Fellow at the Center for Public Diplomacy at the Annenberg School, University of Southern California. She founded and served as the first chair of the Public Diplomacy Interest Group at the International Communication Association. Additionally, she is an honorary member of the Swiss Society for Communication and Media Studies (SSRCM), where she was president from 2014 to 2019 and has been a committee member since 2009. She was also the vice-dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences from 2016 to 2019 and a member of the executive council of EUPRERA (European Public Relations Education Research Association) from 2016 to 2022. Her research and consultancy work inform decision-making for various companies and foreign ministries. Her research focuses on the impact of digitalization and algorithms within businesses and countries, reputation measurement, media quality, and responsible communication. Her work has received multiple awards and has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society, International Journal of Press/Politics, International Journal of Communication, and others. She serves on the editorial boards of Public Relations Review, Public Relations Inquiry, and International Journal of Strategic Communication. During her sabbaticals, she has taught at various universities including Waikato University in New Zealand, Queensland University of Technology in Australia, and institutions in the United States and Israel.
