Diana Ingenhoff is a full professor in organizational communication and public diplomacy. She obtained her doctorate and habilitation at the Management School of the University of St. Gallen. She is a Research Fellow at the Center for Public Diplomacy (CPD) at the Annenberg School, University of Southern California. She founded and previously chaired the first Public Diplomacy Interest Group of the International Communication Association. Additionally, she is an honorary member of the Swiss Society for Communication and Media Sciences (SSRCM), having served as president from 2014 to 2019 and on the committee since 2009. She has been the vice-dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics, and Social Sciences (2016-2019) and a member of the executive board of EUPRERA (European Public Relations Education Research Association, 2016-2022). Her research and consulting work inform decision-making for various companies and foreign ministries. Her research addresses the impact of digitalization and algorithms on businesses and countries, as well as issues related to reputation measurement, media quality, and responsible communication. Her research has won several awards, and her articles have been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society, International Journal of Press/Politics, and Public Relations Review. She serves on the editorial boards of Public Relations Review, Public Relations Inquiry, and the International Journal of Strategic Communication. During her sabbaticals, she has been invited to teach at various universities including the University of Waikato in New Zealand, Queensland University of Technology in Australia, and the University of Florida in the United States. She has lived in Switzerland since 2000 and holds dual Swiss and German nationality.
