Biography

Diana Mangalagiu is a Professor at Neoma Business School, France, and an Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po, Paris. She has decades of experience in research, teaching, and advising, focusing on environmental sustainability management and governance, as well as strategic planning and foresight in environmental economic policies in both corporate and public policy settings. Her work addresses modeling and stakeholder-based inquiry using foresight approaches. Diana has a dual background in natural sciences, holding a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Ecole Polytechnique and an MSc in Physics, and in social sciences with an MSc in Sociology and an MSc in Management. She has authored numerous scientific articles and books in both fundamental and applied areas. Diana co-founded the Initiative Science, Society Policy Dialogue and has co-chaired the pan-European Environmental Outlook for the UN Environment. She is a scientific board member of the Global Climate Forum and a member of the High-Level Group of the International Science Council, as well as the UNEP-ISC Foresight Expert Panel. Additionally, Diana was the Coordinating Lead Author for the Nexus Assessment under the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. She leads and participates in advisory and research development projects for national and regional governments, private sectors, the World Bank, OECD, and UN agencies. A Romanian-French national, Diana is fluent in seven languages.
