Dr. Diane Chen

Biography

Diane Ann Chen is a board-certified surgical pathologist with expertise in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She graduated from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. After completing her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, she served as Chief Resident, developing a strong interest in medical education for students and residents. Following her residency, she completed a joint fellowship in surgical pathology with a focus on gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology. Dr. Chen is involved in several professional societies, including the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and the Association for Molecular Pathology. Her research interests encompass several areas, including the differential histology of pediatric liver tumors, network analysis of colon and rectal adenocarcinomas, molecular testing outcomes for thyroid nodules, and subtypes of renal cell carcinoma. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
