Dr. Diane Ginsburg

Biography

Diane B. Ginsburg is an accomplished Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Pharmacy, where she also serves as Associate Dean for Healthcare Partnerships and holds the G.D. Searle & Company Endowed Fellowship. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master of Science from the University of Houston. Ginsburg completed a two-year ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy administration. Her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration was earned from the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. A sought-after expert in pharmacy law, practice transformation, healthcare reform, ethics, and pharmacy education, she has delivered over 600 presentations to national and international audiences. Ginsburg has served as a consultant for the Department of Justice and Drug Enforcement Administration, training professionals to analyze pharmacy data. She is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, serving in various capacities, including President and Chair of the Council on Educational Affairs. Ginsburg received multiple accolades, including the 2024 Harvey A.K. Whitney Lecture Award and was named the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2005, among others.
