Biography

Diane Pelchat is a professor emerita at the University of Montreal. She holds a Master's degree from the Faculty of Nursing and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Montreal. She is the author of an interdisciplinary and family intervention program, PRIFAM. For many years, she has led extensive research focusing on parenting and disability, the adaptation/transformation process of families, differences between fathers and mothers, and family/intervenor partnerships. Her research is recognized in Canada and internationally. She is a member of the Inter-network Research Group on Family Adaptation and its Environment (GIRAFE) and a regular researcher at the Research Centre for Rehabilitation (CRIR).
