Biography

Diane Williams is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo. She serves as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies. Her research interests focus on cellular molecular biology related to the inner ear, particularly in the areas of age-related hearing loss prevention and neuroprotection. She employs biocomplexity and systems approaches to study health and disease. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a PhD in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Auditory Neuroscience from Oregon Health Science University.
