Dick van Gameren is the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology since 1 April 2019. He graduated cum laude in Architecture from Delft in 1988, and has a long career in which he ran his own architecture firm before becoming a partner at Mecanoo Architecten in Delft in 2013. He has been a Professor in the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment since 2006 and also served as chair of the Architecture Department for ten years, managing an international teaching and research network focused on addressing the issues of affordable housing in rapidly expanding cities across Asia and Africa.
