Biography

Dicle Yagmur Ozdemir is an Assistant Professor in Business Information Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. She holds a PhD in Management Science with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Dallas. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Sabanci University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Dr. Ozdemir joined RSM in September 2023, where her current research focuses on user-generated content, the use of online platforms, generative AI, and its implications in healthcare. Her research interests include understanding how user-generated content impacts decision-making among various stakeholders in online settings, employing econometric modeling and natural language processing to assess its influence on platforms, businesses, and consumers. Furthermore, she is engaged in designing algorithms for online content selection to alleviate consumer information overload. Her work has been presented at esteemed conferences such as CIST, WITS, ICIS, WCBA, and INFORMS.
