Didier Péclard is an associate professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations and Deputy Director of the University of Geneva, where he also leads the Master's program in African Studies. He directed the 'Statehood Conflict' program at the Swiss Peace Foundation. His research focuses on the dynamics of state formation in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly studying civil wars as a matrix for state formation and the state's role in development policies.
