Diego Hernando, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology and the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. As the Director of Quantitative Body MRI, he leads an NIH-funded research group dedicated to developing and validating quantitative imaging techniques and biomarkers to enhance disease detection and treatment monitoring. He collaborates with various experts in the field, including those in machine learning, and co-organizes the Machine Learning in Medical Imaging initiative at UW, which promotes the intersection of these fields through seminars and workshops.
