Biography

Dietra D. Hawkins, PsyD is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who consults with state and local government organizations, public and private schools, and behavioral health agencies. She is the owner and lead consultant at Partners, Inc. With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Hawkins supports healthcare providers and community stakeholders to enhance cultural and linguistic approaches in policy development. As a published author and frequent speaker, she engages with communities to promote Appreciative Approaches to Sustainable Change and Recovery Oriented Systems Care (ROSC). She holds an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University’s School of Medicine, specifically within the Program for Recovery and Community Health (PRCH). Her evaluation background allows her to customize curricula and facilitate webinars and supervision events. Dr. Hawkins has worked with various state systems and community-based agencies, and developed significant training materials focusing on cultural competence. Her primary research interests encompass racial and ethnic healthcare disparities, systems change, and recovery-oriented practices.
