Biography

Dieuwke van der Poel is an associate professor at Utrecht University focusing on late medieval Dutch literature and culture, particularly secular religious song. She leads the research program ‘In Tune Eternity; Song Spirituality Modern Devotion,’ which is funded by NWO-FWO. Furthermore, she served as the Director of Graduate Studies of the Department of Languages, Literature and Communication from 2017 to 2021 and chairs the Project Board for Medieval Miscellanies in the Netherlands.
