Dikshyanta joined the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) team in 2018 after completing her MSc in Health Economics at the University of York in 2017. She undertook a placement with the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG). Originally from Nepal, she holds a BA (Hons) in Economics, Psychology, and Sociology from Christ University, India, obtained in 2016. With seven years of experience in the field of Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Dikshyanta serves as an early career researcher representative for the Scottish Health Economics Early Career (SHEEC) network and is part of the Health Economics Study Group (HESG) ECR sub-committee. She co-chairs the School of Health and Wellbeing's Athena Swan International Group (AS IG). Her research interests as a mixed methods researcher involve conducting economic evaluations, linked health data analysis, evidence synthesis, and thematic analysis. She focuses on developing and applying HTA methodologies in various health areas, including cardiovascular diseases, learning disabilities, oncology, mental health, and women's health. Currently, she is working on assessing non-fiscal capacity constraints in healthcare research evaluations.
