Dimi Culcer obtained his undergraduate degree and Master of Physics from Oxford University in 2000 and completed his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Argonne National Laboratory from 2006 to 2008 and then at the University of Maryland, College Park from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, he became a faculty member at the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei and joined the International Center for Quantum Design Functional Materials.
