Biography

Dimitri Veras is an astrophysicist at the University of Warwick, specializing in the research of planetary systems with a focus on the processes involved in the formation, destruction, and evolution of planets, asteroids, moons, and comets and their interactions with their parent stars. His work particularly investigates the future fate of extrasolar celestial bodies, including asteroids and comets, as they traverse the violent phases of stellar evolution leading to the transformation of stars into white dwarfs.
