Dr. Dina Babushkina

Biography

Dina Babushkina is an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente in the Department of Philosophy, focusing on the intersection of ethics, epistemology, and technology. She holds dual PhDs in History Philosophy and in Ethics, with research interests that span responsible moral agency, moral psychology, and the ethical implications of artificial intelligence (AI). Her work involves exploring how AI transforms interpersonal relationships as well as the ways technology affects personal identity and moral decision-making. Babushkina is particularly intrigued by the moral psychology of beliefs and motivations, applying her findings to domains such as healthcare, social care, and the philosophical considerations of technology. As a coordinator of the Ethics Epistemology AI Initiative (EthEpi AI) at the University of Twente, she works on ethical challenges posed by advanced robotics and AI systems. Her teaching encompasses topics ranging from moral philosophy to the cultural aspects of technology.
