Biography

Konstantina Dina Dedi qualified in 1994 and spent several years in the USA undergoing full-time postgraduate specialty training in teaching. She earned her Specialty Degree in Prosthodontics in 1997 and an MSc in Oral Biology in 1999 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In 1998, she completed a fellowship degree in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology from the University of Texas-Houston MD Anderson. Dina completed a one-year dental teaching fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in the USA. Currently, she serves as the Director of Aesthetic Dentistry Programs and is a Principal Clinical Teaching Fellow at UCL Eastman Dental Institute, where she teaches postgraduates in the fields of prosthodontics and aesthetic implant dentistry. Prior to her current appointment, she taught for nine years at the University of North Carolina as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics and was the Removable Clinics Director. She has presented numerous lectures and continuing education courses in the USA, Europe, and the Middle East, focusing on anterior aesthetics and immediate loading dental implants. In 2002, she earned the prestigious “Diplomate” status from the American Board of Prosthodontics, granting eligibility to become a Programme Director in Prosthodontic Specialty training programs in American universities. She was awarded an Honorary Visiting Professorship from the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University “Nicolae Testemitsanu” in the Republic of Moldova in 2007. Dina is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology and the American College of Prosthodontics, as well as a member of the American Dental Society London, serving as its President from 2018-2019.
