Professor Dr. Dinah Yunitawati

Biography

Dinah Yunitawati focuses her work on fields such as marine planning policy, marine conservation management, community development, and regional partnerships. With over 13 years of experience, she currently serves as a marine planner for the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, where she actively promotes women's roles in marine conservation management and is engaged in mentoring sessions to prepare youth for successful entry into the workforce. Yunitawati plays significant roles in the Coral Triangle Initiative, a multilateral partnership aimed at marine and coastal management. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia in the School of Agriculture and Environment, where her research centers around studying the interactions among stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions that influence transboundary cooperation in marine planning and management. Her expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals of 2015, focusing on ending poverty and ensuring the prosperity of the planet. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor's degree in Urban Regional Planning from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
