Biography

Dirk-Jan van Manen graduated from Utrecht University, Netherlands with a Master's degree and later obtained a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He completed a Marie Curie industry-host fellowship with oilfield service company Schlumberger, which led to a seven-year tenure in research and technical project management. In 2014, he joined ETH Zurich as a senior researcher and lecturer within the Exploration Environmental Geophysics group.
