Dr. Ditte Vassard

Biography

Ditte Vassard is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the Reproductive Health section of Social Medicine. Her research primarily focuses on diseases and conditions that lead to infertility in both men and women, particularly in relation to the use of assisted reproduction technologies. She is also concerned with social inequalities in access to infertility treatments. Vassard’s ongoing research includes the study of cancer and psychiatric conditions that underlie infertility, with a specific emphasis on conditions such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She remains an active principal investigator (PI) within her research group, contributing to significant advancements in the field of reproductive health and addressing critical public health challenges associated with infertility. Vassard has collaborated extensively on various projects both regionally and internationally over the past five years, enhancing the understanding of reproductive health issues.
