Biography

Divya M. Persaud is a planetary geologist whose doctoral thesis focused on processing and visualizing 3D terrain data of virtual outcrops to investigate the exposed layers of Sakarya Vallis in Gale Crater on Mars. Her research interests include developing novel methods for applying remote sensing datasets to mission planning and scientific targeting for surface exploration. Additionally, Divya is a passionate communicator, co-founding and organizing the Space Science Context global conference, which aims to create accessible and equitable scientific meetings. Her ongoing projects include investigating the stratigraphy of Gale Crater and sampling strategies for future missions to Europa. She actively collaborates with teams involved in planetary missions and has an interest in astrobiology and the geophysical characteristics of celestial bodies.
