Biography

Divya Anjana Shankar is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and a pulmonary and critical care physician at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Shankar earned her Medical Doctorate (MD) from Boston University and completed her Internal Medicine residency as well as a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Boston Medical Center. She has served as a T32/F32 Research Fellow and is currently an Evans Center Implementation Improvement Sciences Fellow. Her clinical expertise focuses on pulmonary diseases and critical care, particularly in managing interstitial lung diseases. Dr. Shankar's research is supported by grants from the NIH and the American Lung Association, concentrating on improving quality care outcomes for patients with interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) through health services implementation science research methods. Currently, she is leading multiple research projects aimed at addressing health disparities in pulmonary fibrosis and enhancing treatment pathways based on her research findings.
