Biography

Dmitri Panov graduated from Moscow State University in 1998 and received his PhD from École Polytechnique in France in 2005, under the supervision of Maxim Kontsevich. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial College London from 2005 to 2010, after which he joined King’s College London as a Royal Society Research Fellow. He was promoted to Senior Research Fellow in 2012, became Reader in 2015, and was appointed Professor of Geometry in 2020. He studies geometric structures known as polyhedral Kähler structures and the relationships between these structures and manifold theory.
