Biography

Dmitry E. Pelinovsky is a professor of applied mathematics at McMaster University, Canada. He received his MSc from Nizhny Novgorod State University, Russia in 1993, and his PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Monash University, Australia in 1997. His research focuses on the analysis and applications of nonlinear partial differential equations, lattice equations, the propagation of nonlinear waves, and coherent structures. Pelinovsky has held numerous prestigious positions such as Chair-of-Excellence Research Professor at the University of Grenoble, Humboldt Research Fellow at the University of Stuttgart from 2006 to 2007, and NATO Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto from 1998 to 2000. He has also served as a Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town. His extensive academic contributions have made a significant impact in the field of applied mathematics.
