Biography

Doa El-Ansary is a senior lecturer in functional anatomy, Musculoskeletal and Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, in the Discipline of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. She has developed expertise in both Cardiorespiratory and Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, having worked in private practice and various hospital settings. Doa is a founding committee member of Heart Online, a web-based toolkit promoting cardiovascular health and rehabilitation. As a recognized academic, she has delivered keynote speeches at both national and international conferences and has been awarded a University of Melbourne Research Fellowship for her work. Her research interests encompass cardiac surgery, physiological adaptations to exercise, ultrasound imaging, sternal closure, and the diagnosis and management of chest wall pain.
