Biography

Dominic Balog-Way is a Research Associate in the Department of Communication at Cornell University and a member of the Risk Communication Research Group. His interdisciplinary research interests concern risk, science, health, and environmental communication across various policy domains. Recent projects have focused on scientific misinformation, strategic risk communication, public perceptions of novel energy technologies, and government transparency. Dominic teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to risk communication, environmental communication, health communication, and risk governance. He has also advised state, national, and international levels on matters concerning risk communication. Dominic holds a BA in Geography, an MSc in Risk Analysis, and a PhD in Geography from King’s College London. Prior to his current position, he completed post-doctorates at Cornell and King’s, and served as a visiting lecturer at Maastricht University.
