Biography

Dominic Canestrari-Soh is a Sessional Academic in the Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance at Macquarie University. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in accounting, auditing, and corporate governance. Dominic is a recipient of teaching awards and has worked extensively on integrating data analytics and visualization into the auditing curriculum. He has a robust background in auditing and management accounting, with substantial experience in technical roles within the industry. His applied research focuses on corporate risk governance and both internal and external auditing assurance, earning him an internationally recognized impact with his work being widely cited. Dominic has served as Chair of the Institute of Internal Auditors' Education Committee and the Academic Standards Quality Subcommittee, contributing significantly to the development of assessment materials for various accounting programs, including those of CA ANZ and CPA Australia. He is a co-author of 'Auditing Assurance Services: Case Studies Approach,' a prominent text used in leading universities throughout Australia for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
